The Irati Forest can be reached either from the west, from Orbaizeta, or from the east, from Ochagavía, where its interpretation centre is located. Covering more than 17,000 hectares, it is one of the largest beech forests in Europe. It is a natural site of great ecological wealth and is made up of three protected areas: the Mendilatz and Tristuibartea Nature Reserves and the Lizardoia Integral Reserve. A network of signposted paths allows you to walk through these splendid landscapes crossed by streams. Along the way, you may come across foxes, fallow deer or deer!
