Museum in the house where Julián Gayarre was born in Roncal, with objects and documents about the tenor's life
Born in 1844 in Roncal, the famous tenor Julián Gayarre is the pride of the whole valley. His birth house was turned into a museum in 1990, on the centenary of his death. It contains a multitude of objects and documents that retrace the life of the artist, illustrating some of the most outstanding episodes of his career. The singer's consecration came in 1876, when he performed his favourite opera La Favorita on the prestigious stage of La Scala in Milan.
