FOZ DE ARBAYÚN
Vertiginous gorge with 6 km long and 300 meters high walls in Lumbier offering a privileged panorama on the gorges
About ten kilometres east of Lumbier, the river Salazar has carved out of the rock a vertiginous gorge populated by griffon vultures and other birds of prey, which is about 6 km long, with walls rising up to 300 metres: the Gorge of Arbaiun. To appreciate its grandeur, visit the Iso viewpoint (on the NA-178, between Lumbier and Ezcároz), which offers a privileged panorama of the gorge. In order to make the most of it, it is advisable to visit the Gorges Interpretation Centre, located in the centre of Lumbier.
