A monastery that blends the "Isabelline" and "Plateresque Renaissance" styles, with great architectural unity.
Built between 1514 and 1524, the monastery was inaugurated by Cardinal Adriaan Florensz, the future Pope Adrian VI, during his visit to Casalareina in 1522. It combines the "Isabelline" style (first phase of the Plateresque style) and the "Plateresque Renaissance" style (second period of the Plateresque) and presents a great architectural unity. The cloister, on two levels, is incredibly rich in ornaments
