GEOCENTER MØNS KLINT
GeoCenter at the edge of the cliffs recounting the prehistoric history of the flora and fauna of Denmark and this region.
Set on the edge of the cliffs, the GeoCenter (UNESCO biosphere) resembles a science museum. It was opened on May 29, 2007 by Queen Margrethe. The building was designed by PLH Architects, winners of an international competition. Its very modern architecture blends in perfectly with the natural setting, while remaining imposing. Here, visitors can discover the prehistoric history of the flora and fauna of Denmark and this region. It is especially dedicated to children, with a playful museography reminiscent of that of La Villette in Paris, "learning while having fun".
