Holbæk Museum is the museum of local history. It occupies thirteen half-timbered buildings from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries around a central garden. The old town hall houses an auditorium, a shop, an information point, a café and the administration. At Klosterstræde 16: note the Søren Mayan House, the private residence of Pastor Søren Ma, circa 1670. Temporary and permanent exhibitions. The museum organizes activities for children, especially on Sundays.
