National park with 2 main entrances for hikers, Beopjusa and Hwayangdong, and the high Cheonhwangbong peak to climb.
Songnisan National Park has 2 main entrances for hikers, Beopjusa (or Songnisanni) on one side and Hwayangdong on the other. In Sognisanni, there are lodging establishments but also restaurants in profusion. The entrance to Hwayadong offers less accommodation, but has a campground. The trails from Sognisanni lead to Beopjusa on one side and the mountain on the other. You reach a hut, and you can climb Cheonhwangbong (1057 m), the highest peak in the park, or the beautiful Mujangdae.
