Lake Peipsi, located in Kasepää in Estonia, is the country's largest lake and forms a natural border with Russia. It is the fifth largest lake in Europe, giving the impression of a sea with its waves. The northern shore of the lake offers numerous sandy beaches and vacation homes, notably in Alajöe, which are frequented by Russians. To the west, picturesque villages line the lake, with fishing boats adding a romantic ambience. Nature lovers will appreciate the many deserted coastlines.
