The hotel was built on a hill overlooking Heraklion and its countryside. The rooms are spread around the charming village, so as to remind the small typical Cretan alleys. It is open all year round but with a reduced service in winter. 34 rooms in a traditional style, with air conditioning, a fireplace… The large outdoor swimming pool is open from May to late October. The hotel is owned by Georgis and Marika Saloustros and their four children, including Michalis who speaks French very well. In this village there is a small museum, a church, a mosaic workshop, a tavern, a souvenir shop… It organizes traditional costume evenings on Wednesdays from May to September. With some luck, you may attend a baptism or a wedding of premises.

Όμορφο παραδοσιακό σε καλή τοποθεσία

Προσφάτως μείναμε στο χωριό οικογενειακώς για λίγες ημέρες και περιγράφω τις εμπειρίες . Το σημείο που βρίσκεται το παραδοσιακό χωριό είναι ιδανικό και όμορφο, μακριά από το κέντρο με τέλεια θέα. Υπάρχουν πολλά δωμάτια για διαμονή αλλά παράλληλα υπάρχει και χώρος δεξιώσεων για μυστήρια. Ο διαρρύθμιση είναι πολύ όμορφη με σοκάκια και ωραία χρώματα. Τα δωμάτια δυστυχώς είναι παλιά και χρίζουν ανακαίνισης καθώς είναι πολύ άνετα μεν, αλλά υπάρχουν σημεία όπως οι ντουλάπες που είχαν πολύ άσχημη μυρωδιά ( λόγω αερισμού μάλλον ). Επίσης στη βεράντα έπρεπε να το ζητήσουμε για να μας συμπληρώσουν καρέκλες για το τραπεζάκι. Η πισίνα βρίσκεται σε ιδανικό σημείο κάτω από το χώρο του εστιατορίου και ήταν απόλυτα καθαρή. Το εστιατόριο είναι και αυτό σε πολύ όμορφο σημείο και το μενού πλούσιο. Κάτι ακόμη αρνητικό κατα τη γνώμη μας , έχει να κάνει με τις εκδηλώσεις. Όλα πολύ όμορφα, αλλά υπάρχει ταλαιπωρία για τους διαμένοντες κατα την είσοδο και έξοδο από το χώρο όσον αφορά τη στάθμευση και στην πορεία με τη φασαρία. Το προσωπικό, το οποίο ευχαριστούμε, ήταν εκεί όποτε το χρειαστήκαμε.
