We come to Kapetania only because we know that we will be greeted with arms by Marcos and Popi in this place full of charm. Because the access is tough and once in Thalori, it is thanks to Marcos 4 x 4 that you can cross the surroundings! In short, an extremely wild place and cut off from the world! A small stone village has been completely restored and offers typical houses. The village tavern is excellent, everything is prepared with fresh products.

Sadly the room we stayed at ("Anthi") left much to be desired.
The room itself has 2 stories; pretty small space without much natural light (only two small windows in the base floor) There's a fireplace as well as petrol radiators, however the door and windows are not air-tight so cold air drafts can seep in.
There's enough hot water, however the bathroom is pretty small and there's virtually nowhere to place an accessory bag or a toothbrush. We also noticed some exposed electrical(?) wiring in the shower, covered with a plastic channel which does not seem waterproof.
Space in the bedroom is pretty tight as well and you barely have enough space to walk and lie down. There's also no place to leave anything, such as a mobile phone. We also noticed one electrical plug unattached to the wall with exposed electrical wires.
By far the biggest disappointment, however, was the mattress which was very hard to sleep on. This caused us to wake up multiple times during the night and when we addressed this concern to management, we essentially got no resolution (their suggestion was to simply place a blanket on top of the mattress)
All this, coupled with the fact that we payed 105€/night for 2 persons made this one of the worst money-for-value propositions we have ever stayed at.
They have exclusivity for breakfast, lunch, dinner since is nothing else available.
We did not pre-book a room because we wanted to check it out and decide how many nights we were going to stay. Initial agreement was for one night for two couples two separate rooms but they wanted us to stay in one unit with 2 bedrooms and shared bathrooms. I felt pressured to decide on something I didn’t really want.
We were asked in a rude way to pay the second full night even though we wanted to leave after our first night. The responsible person Poppi was very pushy . I was not very happy with the way she behaved.
Even though I liked the place, I don’t think I will be going back neither recommended for a stay
