IGLESIA DE LA ANUNCIACIÓN DE NUESTRA SEÑORA
Church with a Gothic architecture housing an altarpiece of its high altar of the XVIIth century
Originally built in the early 13th century, this late Romanesque church was probably destroyed in 1378 when the Castilians set fire to the city. The new church built over the rubble, which is still standing, has a Gothic architecture from the 14th and 15th centuries. The altarpiece of the high altar dates from the 17th century. The sacristy was added in the middle of the 18th century. Its grandiose Romanesque tower and its Gothic facade stand out from the rest.
