SANTIAGO CHURCH
Church built in the twelfth century, notable for its Romanesque portal, located on the west side in Carrion de Los Condes
Built in the 12th century, this church was originally part of a monastic complex that included a pilgrim's hospice. The church is particularly noteworthy for its Romanesque portal, located on the west façade. One can observe its intermediate archivolt and the frieze that crowns the façade. The scenes that make up the frieze are particularly interesting, representing the local trades in medieval times: blacksmith, shoemaker, potter, notary, judge... and others whose mystery has not yet been solved.
