Large museum with 5 movie theaters, café, bookstore, interactive museum, auditorium and production rooms
This cinema museum, designed in 2001 by Niemeyer, was finally inaugurated in 2016. Funded by Petrobras, it is the largest cinema museum in the country. The company Reserva Cultural will manage it for 25 years. There will be 5 cinemas, a café and a bookshop. The part of the building in the shape of a film reel remains under city control. It houses an interactive museum, a 700-seat auditorium and production rooms.
