Several daily departures to Chicago, on the Wolverine line. Travel time averages 5h30. Just about every major city in the Midwest can be reached from Detroit (and from there, the rest of the country). There is no connection with Canada, but discussions are currently underway to re-establish a passenger train service between Detroit and Windsor. Finally, Detroit's Amtrak station is located in the New Center district, just north of downtown (Q Line streetcar stop a few minutes' walk away).
