The QLINE streetcar line follows a 3.3-mile (5.3 km) route along Woodward Avenue, from Congress Street south of downtown to Grand Boulevard in the New Center district. Let's be honest: the route is quicker by bus than by streetcar, but that doesn't detract from its popularity. The streetcar stops are heated (very practical in winter) and offer free wifi. The icing on the cake: the QLINE line will be free until 2039, thanks to a grant from the State of Michigan.
