Highly recommended Detroit hotel-restaurant, managed by Michelin-starred chef Thomas Lents, with an arty atmosphere

Housed in the former fire station, we'd like to emphasize the hotel's made-in-Detroit spirit. The arty atmosphere is everywhere, from Christopher Gideon's paintings to Donald Kilpatrick's, from artist Kim Harty's magnificent bulbous lamps to Patrick Ethen's light installations. As for the hotel's renowned restaurant, The Apparatus Room, it is now under the direction of Rece Hogerheide, who showcases Michigan artisanal and farm products. A highly recommended address!
