A mythical dive bar, adored for its mind-blowing concert program and superb grassy courtyard with bar at the rear.
The place opened in 1975 as a hangout for Vietnam War veterans. A few military artefacts can still be found in the decor, among a whole bazaar of salvaged items. Since its opening, Old Miami has been renowned for its live shows, which range from hip-hop and punk to jazzy funk and post-rock. All Detroit's notorious artists have graced its small stage, not to mention numerous American bands from the modern punk/rock era. Bonus: a large grassy courtyard with a bar at the back. A true institution!
