MAMSHIT NATIONAL PARK
Mamshit was first a nabatéen site, probably inhabited shortly before the Christian era. It was a stage for the caravans, and an important market was sticking there. The Israelites désintéressèrent from Mamshit, but the Roman occupiers strengthened this strategic point. These ruins are still visible, as well as the later (church in particular), of the Byzantine period, during which the fortified city prospered before being destroyed by the Arabs in the th century. Mamshit is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The site offers accommodation opportunities.
