YATÉ DAM
A cross indicates the old chapel of the Barrage dam. For the little history, the construction of this dam was decided in 1903. It began in 1912, was interrupted between 1914 and 1918 by the war and resumed in 1921, to complete in 1925. The first dam was approximately 13 m high and fed the Yaté village hydroelectric plant. It was soon insufficient and the work was to start again, which was done in 1956. The current dam is 60 m long, 641 m long and its vault is 200 m long. The thickness of the wall varies between 2,3 and 9 m. The water leaves to the Yaté hydroelectric plant.
