Bordé de colonnes sur plusieurs de ses côtés, ce splendide péristyle s'ouvre au sud sur les appartements de l'Empereur. On y voit encore le porche d'entrée, encadré de petites chapelles.
Un des côtés abrite un sphinx tandis que de l'autre côté on peut observer le café Luxor. On voit également de belles façades mais aussi la cathédrale, et sa tour ainsi que le pourtour circulaire du temple de Vénus.
