ÉGLISE DU SACRÉ-CŒUR
The church is particularly impressive for its size and the splendid 7-metre-high mosaic
Built in the 1930s, the Sacré-Cœur church brings spirituality to the Maladière district. The work directed by the Parisian architect Julien Barbier began in 1931, and the church was consecrated on 10 May 1938. Surprising by its neo-Byzantine style, its builders were inspired by the basilica of Paray-le-Monial. 60 metres long, it impresses in particular by its volume and by the splendid mosaic of 7 metres high. An interesting architecture that visitors can freely discover on site or virtually.
