Library with various works and manuscripts of the monks of Cîteaux in a superb setting in Dijon.
From the end of the 16th century until their expulsion in 1763, the Jesuits occupied this superb building which is worth visiting. Rameau, Bossuet, Buffon, Piron or Daubenton were trained there. In 1708, a member of parliament ceded his entire library to the Jesuits. In return, the works were to be made available to the public. During the Revolution, the collections were enriched by 25,000 volumes, including the manuscripts of the monks of Cîteaux. A reading room is accessible today.
