The Well of Moses is the remnant of a well formerly located in the center of the Charterhouse of Champmol.
It is the last trace of a chapel that was once built to house the noble remains of the Dukes of Burgundy and which was destroyed during the Revolution. Now, a magnificent turret shelters the Well of Moses. A monumental sculpture and jewel of Burgundian religious art, created by Claus Sluter, a 14th century European sculptor. The visit highlights the history of the site, the chapel and the church portal. A classified work to discover.

A voir le Puits de Moïse protégé par un petit pavillon et à l'extérieur du site payant, le remarquable portail de la Chartreuse, la tourelle d'escalier de l'oratoire ducal et un vieux puits original dit puits de" Jacob" .
Les vestiges de la Chartreuse, (tombeaux ,rétables et morceaux du Puits de Moïse qui atteignait 7 m de haut )se trouvent au musée des Beaux Arts dans le palais des Ducs.
