Free and participative guided tours from 5 years old.
The Fonds Régional, d'Art Contemporain de Bourgogne was created in 1983. Its mission is to help the development of contemporary art by stimulating creation and addressing all audiences. The exhibition space "Les Bains du Nord" is installed just opposite the Halles dijonnaises, with its Storefront showcase which honours different artists during exhibition residencies. The 500 m² of the building are used for debates around the 645 works on display, as well as for workshops and guided tours. The collection is regularly enriched with new works and emerging or established artists can propose their own to the director Astrid Handa-Gagnard. The collection includes works by prestigious artists such as Jean Dupuy, Man Ray, Annette Messager, Didier Marcel, Christian Boltanski and Andy Warhol alone! Unlike a "classic" museum, the FRAC does not display its collection permanently, but lends its works to exhibitions inside or outside its walls. Discover the world of contemporary art thanks to the participative guided tours (from 5 years old) which give you the keys to deciphering the works. The structure is also developing numerous partnerships such as with the Minoterie, a room dedicated to the young public. It also supports the resident artists in Hall 38, a former barracks located in the Heudelet eco-neighbourhood, which has been converted into a studio space and includes, among others, the painter Gentaro Murakami.
