THE DOUIX OF THE HOLE LAFOND
Go there and contact
Douix du trou Lafond oozes out of its cave called Trou Madame. Locally, the term douix refers to a source that resurgent in limestone areas. Fed by rainwater, it can change appearance and become turbulent. After by-passing the spur on which stands the fort, it flows into the Seine. Remember that you need to be motivated because access is not the easiest. Finally, if you love nature, then spare no effort. In recent years, it is blocked by a huge stump. In fact the river flows among stones covered with moss in a forest full of freshness. A beautiful walk in perspective!
