RUINAS DEL PALACIO DE PILKOKAINA
Ruin of an ancient palace with two floors and the first remains intact, hosted the Inca Yupanqui during his pilgrimages to Chinkana
Relatively neglected by the tourists, Pilkokaina ("where the bird stops") is the ruin of an ancient palace of two floors of which only the first one is still intact. Also called Temple of the Sun, this palace welcomed the Inca Yupanqui during his pilgrimages to Chinkana. We will notice especially its typical trapezoidal doors. To reach it, two solutions: to arrive there directly by boat, otherwise to borrow the way which skirts the island and which offers magnificent panoramas.
