CATEDRAL DE SAN IGNACIO DE VELASCO
Church of Chiquitos dating from 1761, renovated in 1948 and the clock tower indicates the typical architectural style of the time
Founded in 1748, it became the largest church in Chiquitos when it was completed in 1761. A fire in 1948 destroyed it and a modern church was built, completed in 1968. For this reason, it is not listed as a World Heritage site. It was rebuilt in 1998 to restore its original appearance. Of the church built in 1948, the clock tower remains today, in clear contrast to the church's typical architectural style.
