Beautiful 2 km stroll along the paved road, discovering ruins, lookouts and waterfalls
Today, there's still 2 km of beautiful road along the old gold route, from Minas Gerais to the port of Paraty. Paraty is the southern end of the old gold route. Along the way, ruins, lookouts and waterfalls.
The walk can be organized from Paraty, at one of the agencies on the main street (approx. 60 R$/person). The complete 3-day Trilha do Ouro through the Serra can be done from the village of São José do Barreiro.
