Oral's oldest building. Erected in 1740, the Archangel Michael Cathedral features the classic pastel-blue color of Orthodox churches. It consists of two blocks, one of which is topped by a bell tower, while the other is dominated by four gleaming golden domes topped by Orthodox crosses. Only the bell tower is not original: it was destroyed during Pugachev's rebellion and later rebuilt in a much more sober style.
