The Tower Tower is the heart of Xi'an, at the intersection of its four main avenues. It was erected in 1384 during the reign of the first emperor Ming, Hongwu, to announce the time to the population, and rebuilt in 1582.
Situated on a land floor, it is a wooden tower with balconies under a wide front roof with curved edges decorated with colourful motifs. 36 m high, the Ming architecture tower is a typical example of Chinese construction. Below the tower, bomb shelters!
