RAMPARTS OF XI'AN
Xi'an was China's capital for more than a thousand years, but its radiation does not stop with the fall of the Tang dynasty. During the Ming dynasty, the first emperor sent his son to govern Xi'an. It builds a new city on the ruins of Chang'an (the old name of the city), surrounds it with a wall wall guarded by 164 towers and closed by four monumental doors. It also builds impressive Tower and Drum towers. Both have recently been restored.
In the past, in all Chinese cities, there was a Tower Tower and a Drum Tower. Those of Xi'an are probably the best preserved from all over China. The Tower Tower sounded the opening of the city's doors in the morning, and the Drum Tower closed the night. In addition to the high walls of the town (12 m for a width of 12 to 14 m), the city was also divided into neighbourhoods which were closed at night.
The city walls are visiting. They are remarkably well preserved and provide a beautiful overview of the city inside the city. The best thing is to take a walk from the South door to the western gate of fortification.

Belle balade, les remparts sont très larges et en très bon état, mais la vue sur la ville n'est finalement pas si belle que ça.
Il est également une très jolie balade sur la promenade jardin côté sud à l'extérieur des remparts.
