The interior has a very cool vibe. The rooms themselves need a bit of a refresh (paint, stained faucets and hard water marked sinks, and the tub is a no-go for me ????). But overall, still seemed clean.
Only real complaint was the noise. They have hardwood or tiled floors, even in the rooms, so I listened to high heels clacking a floor above me late into the night. Ear plugs helped though.
Next time I’m taking tons of pics.
There was an issue where my car was grabbed by valet when I didn’t ask for it and they said they got the room numbers mixed up. I’ve never experienced that after using probably hundreds of valet services. I would not recommend using the valet services if you’re on a schedule as often times there was no one at the front desk.
I did pick up on some prejudice vibes from the front desk staff. I mean, they checked me into the John Audubon suite (an ornithologist also known for his anti abolitionist/slave owning efforts) where I was greeted by a vase of cotton. I was often asked if I was checking out early or even ignored all together when seeking assistance from the front desk so I tried to minimize those interactions as much as possible.
Margaritaville is not far from this location and a much better experience if you’re seeking comfort, amenities, & diversity.
