This site, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is considered one of the most interesting in North America.
The monumental mounds at this site earned it a 2014 Unesco World Heritage Site designation, making it one of only four American sites to receive this recognition. Native Americans used it over 3,000 years ago for ceremonies and as such, the site is considered one of the most interesting in North America. A museum traces their history in the area and a 4 km hiking trail runs through the site.
