Markets – Covered markets

The market is held every Wednesday. It is animated with many sellers of tchoukoutou, this millet beer appreciated by the Togolese that is drunk with a small calabash. One also discovers stalls with manufactured products, foodstuffs, livestock and art objects. The manufactured goods are affordable, while the food and livestock products are much more expensive. The market brings together all kinds of ethnic groups, many of whom come from neighboring Benin. An authentic and interesting experience.

Very typical market where you can see women making fry the fritters (those of beans are very good) the atmosphere in the hut with tchouk is very cheerful, drinks millet beer to the water-bottle! Try it!
