BINTON LAKE
Lac de Binton is a bird-lover's paradise around 20 km from Tormelin.
About 20 km from Tormelin (the village where you leave the road to the left, coming from Tanéné) and to the west of Fria, two arms of the Rio Pongo give birth to the lake. This natural lake is not suitable for swimming because the water is stagnant (beware of bilharzia, a disease of stagnant water). It is however an ideal place for bird lovers. A little patience and a good camera will undoubtedly allow you to make beautiful "catches". In the past, the lake was a place where a pond festival took place, but it has since been abandoned.
