Restaurant with large terraces offering traditional Burgundian cuisine.

It doesn't take long to fall under the spell of Flavigny's medieval streets and little aniseed groves. The Restaurant de l'Abbaye is housed in the village's former coaching inn. Renovated, it has retained all the charm of the past, particularly on its superb terraces overlooking the garden. Philippe and Natacha Guillier offer Burgundian regional cuisine, including jambon persillé, oeufs cocotte, blanquette de veau, burger bourguignon, and epoisses-flette, a creation of the chef's! For dessert, try the crème brûlée with Flavigny aniseed.

Big disappointment for this restaurant nestled in the heart of Flavigny-sur-Ozerain. We were not outright welcomed and had to install us with a table (salts, not cleared away but all non occupied tables of the restaurant were in this state). Finally a waiter came to disencumber then it took the tablecloth, shook it in front of us, ejecting all refuses floor with our feet, in front of our eyes astounded. The terrine is very greasy without any taste or perfume and of course has nothing " campagnarde". The ham in Montbardoise is too thick, too fatty, bathing in a too sweet sauce and equally grasse, both soft and shrivelled chips, are inedible. The cheese plate is rance. The industrial dessert is simply disturbing. As for the bread basket there, there are already slices grignottées by the previous guests. Crenellated water carafe. Avoid even when food hard times.
