Admire the treasures of the listed crypt of an ancient Carolingian abbey.

The beautiful crypt of this abbey, founded in 719, is a listed historic monument. Admire its monolithic columns topped by capitals featuring plant or chimera motifs, typical of Carolingian religious art. A relatively well-preserved vestige, the crypt also bears witness to Gallo-Roman, Romanesque and Gothic art, all blending together after several centuries of use. As part of the Flavigny Abbey factory, don't miss a gourmet stop-off at the boutique.

Open all year round. Closed on 25/12, 01/01, 01/05. July and August: Monday to Friday from 9am to 7pm and weekends from 10am to 7pm. From January 3 to February 2 and from November 13 to December 15, Saturday from 10am to 6pm and Sunday from 10am to 5pm. Free admission. From February 3 to April 7 and from November 6 to December 12, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm, Saturday from 10am to 6pm and Sunday from 10am to 5pm. Christmas vacations and from December 16 to 31, Monday to Saturday from 10am to 7pm except December 24 and 31, from 10am to 4pm.
