RICANCIE
Ricancie is an organisation inspired by the Napo Indigenous Federation in 1993. In this way, Quechua communities built huts and set up an activity programme, which allowed them to regulate the tourist influx and control the funds. Today, 9 Sumaco biosphere communities participate in the project along the river Pastaza.
What do they propose ? You will live in traditional huts and participate in the activities of the community: kitchen, crafts, small daily tasks. You will also visit the biosphere trails.
Where ? Ecuador.
Prices and conditions. The journey to the Ricancie offices is at your disposal. On site, you will need to participate in housing, food and the remuneration of activities : between $ 30 and $ 40 per day.
