LANDFALL PARK
A stretch of beach opposite Long Bay, where 4 steles stand as a monument to Christopher Columbus, a simple white concrete cross.
It's a stretch of beach across from Long Bay. Here stand four stelae. The first is the monument dedicated to the 1968 Olympic Games; the flame stopped in San Salvador during its journey from Athens to Mexico City. Nearby is the monument dedicated to Christopher Columbus, a simple white concrete cross planted on December 2, 1956. The third monument is a stele commemorating the 500 years of the discovery. The last is a plaque donated by the Japanese government, which built a replica of Santa Maria in 1992.
