GROUPE DE TOURISME ALTERNATIF (ATG)

Founded in 1995, the Alternative Tourism Group (ATG) is a non-profit organization specialized in the organization and supervision of tourist stays, the objective of which is to provide critical lighting on the history and political situation of Palestine and its complex relationship with Israel.

What are they proposing? Excursions (from 2 days to several weeks) in Palestine/Israel, organized by graduate guides. In the programme: meetings with local actors, associations, official representatives, political, religious, and academic personalities in Palestine and Israel; accommodation in the living room to share the life of a Palestinian family. Twice a year,-day solidarity missions combining voluntary and learning of Palestinian culture are organized. In the programme: planting of trees uprooted by the israëliennes attacks, olive harvest, and conferences on the Palestinian situation… They can also organize «à la carte» travel for pre-established groups.

Prices and conditions. Educational and tourist travel is accessible to all. Count € 1 200 for the geopolitical tour of one week for walking. For volunteer missions, it is preferable to be able to communicate in English, Arabic or Hebrew.
