PROJET ECOTOURISTIQUE VOHIMANA

Initiated by the Association Man and the Environment, this project supports the conservation and sustainable management programme of the Vohimana Forest. The association developed 5 marked circuits of choice: the Agrotourism circuit proposes you to explore the farm farm and the experimental nursery; Ecotourism to discover the riches of the fauna and flora of the Vohimana forest; the one entitled Participative Tourism proposes to apprehend craft techniques; finally, the Scientific Tourism circuit is based on the discovery of techniques for the distillation of essential oils.

The campsite consists of bungalows, a dormitory and family rooms. The association is committed to treating its wastewater and limiting the number of visitors.

Conservation - Education. The association manages Vohimana forest and educates tourists on responsible attitudes to adopt in the forest and in a developing country in general.

Local population. Recruitment and training of local guides, income input for local populations. A local management committee has been set up, and the income from tourist activity is fully returned to local projects.
