The Barkly Homestead is the only place to sleep and buy gas between the Three Ways junction and Camooweal at the border. It is also the start of the Tableland Highway (no need for a 4WD) which allows you to reach Borroloola. This Roadhouse offers motel or camping; the restaurant-bar, recently renovated, offers an original and typical Outback atmosphere. Outdoor swimming pool. In the evening, you will find the locals around the pool table. Rooms with different levels of comfort and camping sites. The starry sky is incredible.
