ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM
The archaeological museum in Brumath, displaying Roman remains such as jewelry, fibulae and urns
The treasures of the archaeological museum are presented in the basement of the Protestant church. This building was once a castle, erected in 1717. The pieces presented are Roman remains: jewels, fibulae, urns, sarcophagus, sculpted steles, votive dedications, bronze statuettes, pottery... Admire the Gallo-Roman engobe vase from the 2nd century A.D. presenting a hunting scene, a love carved in half-boss and coming from a dismantled mausoleum. The Society of History and Archaeology regularly offers guided tours.
