Between the red sand dunes and the mountains of the Namib escarpment, the Rostock Ritz is an ideal stopover between Sesriem and the coast, where you can spend the night or have lunch in undreamt-of comfort. The lodge offers magnificent views of the Namib. The Germanic architecture is not to everyone's taste, but the 22 igloos are well kept and comfortable. Several excursions are planned to the dunes, the Gaub Canyon and the rock paintings at Oase Cave.

Une étape seulement sur la route entre Swakopmund et Sesriem, parce qu'il n'y a pas grand chose dans le coin. Mais "inespéré" c'est un grand mot. Le confort de l'igloo est rudimentaire, lavabo mal conçu, glace pas au milieu et il faut se hisser sur la pointe des pieds...et la douche n'en parlons pas! Je compare avec tous les autres lodges dans lesquels nous avons séjourné. Très germanique! Pas grand chose à faire lorsqu'on est déjà passé à Etosha! Beau coucher de soleil dans le désert et belle vue néanmoins. Bon repas. Mais mais, bien vérifier sa facture en partant, la notre avait plus que doublé, on nous avait rajouté une bière, une bouteille de chardonnay, une d'eau, et une 1/2 portion de springbok (mon époux était un peu malade et on lui a suggéré de prendre une demie portion). Facture rectifiée avec un rictus, comme explication :c'était le serveur! Et AUCUN mot d'excuse...

Très bon accueil. Notre petit igloo était très sympa avec une très belle vue. L'architecture est très spéciale. Nous avons adoré le style. L'ambiance est familiale et le patron nous a emmené à un magnifique sundowner. La cuisine est excellente.
