Paris-based Printemps is to open its first store outside France in Doha in 2022. The 30,000m2, 3-storey showcase is shaped like an eclipse. A new-generation store, it combines an immersive experience, high-tech technologies and personalized customer relations. It is located at the heart of the upscale Doha Oasis mall, which also features a cinema, the Doha Quest amusement park, a bowling alley and a luxury hotel. It boasts no fewer than 550 brands, a third of which are exclusive to Qatar, as well as a 14-restaurant food court.

Printemps has unveiled details of its first overseas store, scheduled to open in September at the Doha Oasis complex in Qatar, which includes a hotel, theme park, residences and entertainment facilities, including a cinema.
The concept for the outlet, located in the historic cultural and tourist center of the Qatari capital, is a "next-generation store that would blend an immersive physical experience with new technologies," designed by architecture firm Yabu Pushelberg. At 30,008 square meters spread over three floors, it will be the second largest gateway for the retailer, after the Paris flagship on Boulevard Haussmann. It will house some 550 brands, 305 of which will be exclusives.
It will feature luxury heavyweights such as Louis Vuitton, Dior, Gucci and Valentino, designers Dries van Noten and Jill Sander, as well as fashionable brands such as Coperni and Ganni. Raf Simons and JW Anderson will be among the exclusives, as will high-end bag brand L'étrange and jeweler Lorenz Bäumer.
In addition to physical retail, Printemps' e-commerce platform will be open to Qatar-based consumers, who will also be able to purchase and pre-order the selection from the Doha store as well as the Haussmann flagship. Other services will include bespoke services, product customization by artists and personal shoppers based in the Qatari and French capitals. Recent developments include livestream shopping, the extension of its Printania loyalty program to foreign customers, and the opening of a circular fashion floor on the seventh floor of the Haussmann flagship.
