In Lusail, north of the new Rixos Qetaifan Island, the largest water theme park in the Middle East has opened its doors, the Meryal Waterpark. It's a must-see with its 85-metre-high Icon Tower, a mass of coloured plastic, pipes and slides that looks like something out of a children's animation film. The park boasts 45 rides and 52 slides, so there's no room for boredom, as well as a beach club on the waterfront with deckchairs. Restaurants, cafés, stores, lockers and changing rooms are also available.
