This enchanting new cardboard district features traditional Qatari desert houses painted in pretty pastel colors. It's a marina for cruise ships, with cafés, restaurants, boutiques and hotels. It is located in the extension of the MIA peninsula. The retro details of the lampposts match the style of the houses. The "Vieux Port" and the fish market are well worth a visit. The surroundings are full of flowers, and the whole area is truly Disneylandian and fairytale-like, superbly illuminated at night.
