An essential stop on the Doha art circuit, the Markhiya is a contemporary art gallery that does extensive work to make artists from the Arab world known, in conjunction with major international institutions such as the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris, and to exhibit them here. The very rich permanent collection allows temporary exhibitions organized throughout the year, with openings and animations. Al Markhiya Gallery has moved from Souq Waqif to exhibit its works at the Katara Cultural Center and Fire Station.
