If you're planning to visit the historical sites around Urfa, it's a good idea to stop by the museum first. Opened in late 2014, the Archaeological Museum is one of two facilities, the other being the Archeopark's Edessa Mosaics Museum. Here are displayed the handicrafts found in Harran and Göbekli Tepe. The first room contains the relics of the Assyrians, Babylonians and Hittites while the second and third rooms focus on the Neolithic and Bronze Age. The museum also contains an ethnographic section.
