VAN MUSEUM (VAN MÜZESI)
The museum is divided into two sections. The archaeological part, located on the ground floor, presents the crafts of the bronze and Neolithic age (ceramics, jewelry, arms, figurines…), as well as examples of cuneiform herrnberchtheim like those found in Çavuştepe. On the floor you will find urartéen handicraft and Hakkâri stelas. As for the ethnographic section, it includes a series of documents describing the tragic events in the region at the end of the First World War, as well as local crafts: kilims, silver jewelry, manuscripts, textiles…
